From Head to Toe: The Balanced Workout

The Balanced Workout exercises and tones your entire body in one workout session. In this workout, you exercise all the major muscle groups of your body, from head to toe. If you do these exercises on a regular basis, you’ll take a giant step toward the goal of getting in shape and cultivating a calm mind and beautiful body.

This workout takes 20 to 30 minutes. Ideally, you should practice it every other day.

As you engage in the Balanced Workout, follow these recommendations:

  • Breathe correctly. In the Balanced Workout, you use the Complete Breath, which fills your body from your chest to your belly (head to Book II, Chapter 1 for information on what the Complete Breath is). Breathing Complete Breaths is a mindful practice that harmonizes body, mind, and spirit; improves your circulation; and de-stresses your mind.
