Basic document structure

An HTML-conforming document has a document element called Html. Unlike XML, element names are not case-sensitive, so the element may actually be named 'html', 'HTML' or 'Html' and does not need to match either the document type declaration or the end-tag.

The Html element encloses a Head section and a main Body section. The header contains a Title, which is presented in the title bar of the browser. The Body element may contain any of a number of other elements but will usually begin with the title repeated in a first-level-header element, H1.
