Chapter 11. Reorganizing material

XML documents have a linear structure, and all material has a sequential location within the document. In addition, the philosophy of good XML document design includes the 'golden rule' that information should not be duplicated unnecessarily. When preparing material for publication, however, the original ordering may be inappropriate, and for convenience some material may need to be copied to another location in the document. Information can also be accessed from remote documents.
