ASP (Active Server Pages)—

A server-side scripting environment created by Microsoft for creating dynamic Web pages.

CDF (Channel Definition Format)—

An XML vocabulary, created by Microsoft, for establishing Web channels, which allow Web sites to push information to clients. CDF is significant in the history of XML because it was the first commercial XML application.

CML (Chemical Markup Language)—

An XML vocabulary that's used to describe chemical information. CML is significant in the history of XML because it was the very first XML application.
