When you think of scripting and XML, typically you think of a Web scripting language such as JavaScript or VBScript that's used to walk the tree of an XML document using the Document Object Model. In fact, this is the exact approach to XML scripting that was covered in Chapter 20, "Scripting XML." However, this isn't the only scenario where scripting enters the XML picture. In fact, there is a scripting language available that is itself based on XML.
