An XML tool is a piece of software that in some way eases the task of creating or manipulating XML code. Although technically a text editor is all you need to create XML documents, DTDs, and style sheets, more advanced tools certainly can make things easier. For this reason, XML tools will be largely responsible for how quickly XML is accepted and used in coming years. Considering how young XML is, there are a surprising number of tools available for XML development.
