Summary
In the future, XSL will be used to transform and format XML documents for display, but some interesting things can be done with XSL at present. Specifically, XSLT can be used to transform XML documents into highly structured HTML documents, which are easily displayed in current Web browsers. As of this writing, Internet Explorer 5.0 is the only commercial Web browser that supports XSLT, but hopefully others will follow suit. Of course, it will make much more sense when the W3C finalizes the XSLT recommendation, which will allow browser vendors to provide a standard implementation of XSLT.
