Part V: Data-oriented Schemas

Many development efforts require a database to store or retrieve data. Most databases today are relational. Part V discusses mapping an XML schema to a relational (SQL) schema. The examples in this part pertain specifically to Oracle9i. However, the concepts generally apply to any SQL database.
