Chapter 6 has many sections that cover concepts or observations that might otherwise appear in this chapter. You should read Chapter 6 before proceeding with this chapter.

The only observation that seems worth repeating pertains to namespaces. Although trivial to implement, one of the most difficult tasks when planning an XML schema is determining the target and default namespaces.
