1.6. Thematic Examples

Many sections of this book reference one or the other of two examples: a company catalog or a customer address list. These thematic examples are conceptually extremely easy to understand. This section includes XML instances of a company catalog and a customer list, presenting these examples so that the target for each schema element is clear. The corresponding XML schemas appear in Appendix C.

Not all the schema examples conform to the best programming practices. This is intentional because the schemas are designed to demonstrate every XML schema concept.
