The xs:ID type provides
compatibility with the IDREFS attribute type from XML 1.0 DTDs.
Like that IDREFS type, the contents of the xs:IDREFS type must be a
whitespace-separated list of values, each of which starts with a
letter and contains letters, digits, underscores, or colons, and
each of which must match an xs:ID value elsewhere in the
document.
