Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) defines rules that specify how to extract information from an XML document and how to format this information so that it can be viewed. XSL is divided into three parts:
XSL Transformations (XSLT) A language for transforming XML documents
XML Path (XPath) An expression language used by XSLT to access and refer to parts of a document
XSL Formatting Objects (XSL-FO) An XML vocabulary used by XSLT to describe the formatting of text on a page
