16.6. DAWAX: A Graphic Tool for the Specification and Management of a Data Warehouse

This section presents the implementation of the system that we have developed for the specification and the management of an XML warehouse. DAWAX (DAta WArehouse for XML) is composed of three main tools:

  1. The graphic editor for data warehouse specification, which was presented in section 16.3, “Data Warehouse Specification.”

  2. The data warehouse manager, which is responsible for the creation and management of the warehouse in a relational DBMS (MySQL). It is presented in the next section.

  3. The data warehouse query manager, which is not presented here.
