Editorial policies

This book rarely mentions specific vendor products, or even free-ware tools. XML-sensitive products develop very rapidly, and whole new classes of product can also quickly emerge. It would be both misleading and dangerously biased to describe or even show individual tools. It is now easy to discover what is available in any category of product from a few key Web sites, such as www.w3.org, www.xml.org, www.xml.com and www.xmlsoftware.com.
