Installing JDOM

Originally, version 1.0 of JDOM was supposed to be ready sometime during the summer of 2000, but at the time of this writing (January, 2001), final preparations for release are still being made. Although it is unlikely, some of the commands or method names we use in our listings here might have changed slightly. If changes do occur, they will be posted on the book's Web site at www.quecorp.com. I'll also keep a current list at http://www.nicholaschase.com.

The method of installation depends on which version of JDOM is available and which version you choose to install. In general, three options are available:
