Microsoft and XML

Microsoft has never really devoted much time to XML in its SQL documentation in the past. Both SQL 6.5 and SQL 7 carry very little information on this topic, and this has only changed since SQL Server 2000 began development. Microsoft has now tightly integrated XML into the forthcoming SQL Server 2000 RDBMS system to help developers create the next generation of Web and e-commerce applications.
