Conclusion

Extensible Markup Language is flexible—it allows the representation of a wide range of data and it also allows this data to be self-describing. This is so that structured data expressed in XML can be manipulated and displayed by software that does not have a built-in description of that data. XML provides a file format for representing data and schema, and includes a description of its own structure. With its powerful flexibility, XML adds structure to data on the Internet and it has the capability to become the future standard for developing Web technology.
