Conclusion

SQL Server, and specifically SQL Server 2000, is an extremely powerful application that can be used in almost any business context that relies on collecting and managing large quantities of data. In this chapter, I outlined some of the new features of SQL Server that you will most likely use when you are developing stored procedures and applications that reside on SQL Server. After you had a chance to see what SQL Server itself can do, I covered some of the things that you can do with stored procedures. The rest of the book actually shows you how to create stored procedures and what you can do with them.
