Chapter 4. Physical Security

THE FIRST THREE CHAPTERS DISCUSSED THE preparation required to write information security policies. In this chapter, we begin to look at policies for physical security. Physical security policies are easy because everyone understands the idea of physically protecting property. But a good policy goes beyond the typical concepts of guns, guards, and gates. These policies also must consider facilities planning and disaster recovery procedures. This chapter outlines some policy considerations that should go into any security policy.
