In January 2002, I had the great fortune of working with John Boushy, senior vice president and chief information officer of Harrah's Entertainment, and Tim Stanley, who would succeed John soon thereafter. Harrah's had (and still has) one of the great IT departments in the United States. The IT department was highly regarded by the entire company, and associates in the business even thought about ways to migrate over to IT. Even today, this is not the typical migratory path of employees at most companies.
