About the Author

Laura Putnam is founder and CEO of Motion Infusion, a well-being consulting firm that provides creative solutions in the areas of engagement, behavior change, human performance improvement, and building healthier, happier, and more innovative organizations. As a consultant, trainer, and keynote speaker, Laura has worked with a range of organizations from Fortune 500s and government agencies to academic institutes, schools, and nonprofits. She also serves as the chair of the American Heart Association's Greater Bay Area 2020 Task Force.

Laura has a diverse background in education and educational reform, organizational learning and development, public policy, competitive gymnastics, and professional dance. Her wide range of experiences includes teaching in urban public high schools, organizing community development projects in Africa, facilitating corporate learning and development initiatives, leading a nationally recognized youth leadership organization, and working as a staff member on the United States Senate Subcommittee on Antitrust. Laura was also a nationally competitive collegiate gymnast and a professional dancer, and is a certified Pilates instructor, a skier, and a yoga practitioner.

A graduate of Brown University School of Education and Stanford University, she lives in San Francisco with her fiancé and two amazing cats.
