On August 4, 2009, a man walked into an LA Fitness Center in Collier, Pennsylvania, and opened fire. The shooting occurred just after eight o’clock in the evening, when the gunman walked into the fitness center with a duffel bag. The perpetrator entered an aerobic dance class, turned out the lights, and then opened fire on the room full of women. Three victims were left dead and at least nine victims were wounded before the gunman turned his weapon on himself (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, 2009).
