Want me to write a book on VAT? No problem…
Hardly any books on Sales Tax have been published for the taxpayer despite the fact that this tax has been imposed for over half a century. Since it was going to be no different for VAT, I was commissioned to write such a book before it was introduced in 2005. As I am neither an accountant nor a tax lawyer, why was I involved in this complex subject? Simply because I had inspired, edited and published a bestseller on this subject for Kenya that went into two editions; and basically, India has the same commercial law and systems; but the task was far from easy.
