Organize to Prioritize

To be honest, I was in the capture habit long before I started using Evernote. I took a paper notebook to all my meetings and even carried a second, tiny notebook in my purse. I filled four of my full-size notebooks each year, along with one of my purse-sized backups.

Which was great . . . until the moment I actually needed to find the place where I’d written that phone number, outlined that memo, or captured that meeting. Then it was time to wrack my brain to remember when the relevant conversation had occurred, flipping through the dates at the top of each notebook page in the hope of finding the relevant note in my barely legible scrawl. That worked only if I remembered having jotted the note down in the first place. ...
