Doing More with Posts

Many WordPress blogs get about as far as we’ve described in previous chapters: A user signs on, sets up a blog, and starts posting. Some visitors come and occasional comments are made, but the blog doesn’t develop much further.

Such blogs continue for as long as the blog owner maintains interest, which often isn’t all that long. This low level of engagement is true for many WordPress.com blogs and even sometimes for blogs from WordPress software users, despite the fact that they invest more effort in setting up their blogs.
