Updating WordPress plugins and themes

We already discussed the need for updating WordPress core, plugins and themes to improve the security of the site in the previous sections. Also, it's an essential part of maintenance, as some of the plugins and themes may not be compatible with older or newer versions of WordPress. So, you need to keep track of the updates in plugins and themes, along with the possible bug fixes in each version. Otherwise, you will have to automate the update process using custom code, or use a plugin like Automatic Plugin Updates (https://wordpress.org/plugins/automatic-plugin-updates/) for automating updates only for certain plugins.
