Optimizing database tables 

This is another aspect in maintenance that is not considered by many site owners. We use many plugins in WordPress sites with different data needs. Many of these plugins work on existing database tables, and hence it's difficult to track which plugin is responsible for certain data in core tables. Some of these plugins provide a quality deactivation or delete process, removing all the plugin-related data from the database. However, many plugins don't have such a process and we can find many unused data in the database even after deleting the plugins. Also, WordPress core features such as revisions, transients, caching overloads core tables with unnecessary amount of data.
