This is the secondary location for storing data for terms. This table consists of four columns and works similar to other metadata tables using key-value pairs.
By default, this table is not used frequently. You may use this table to store additional details of your own terms. Assume you have terms for articles such as sports, health, travel. You want to display the archive pages of each of these categories using a different design. In such a scenario, you can store the CSS, images, templates in a term metatable and use this info to load the design.
