Applying or Creating a Style Set

Not sure where to begin to create a fancy invitation or flyer? You can use style sets in Word to quickly format a document with a distinct style. Word provides predefined document style sets—such as Elegant, Simple, Stylish, Black & White, Centered, Casual, Lines, Distinctive, and Classics from the past—to make it easy to format an entire document. Each style set consists of a variety of different formatting style combinations, which you can view using the Document Formatting gallery (New!) on the Design tab. You can also apply a theme, theme colors, theme fonts, theme effects, and paragraph spacing that you can use along with individual styles to create a custom style set (New!).
