Finding and Replacing Text

The Find and Replace commands make it easy to locate or replace specific text in a document. For example, you might want to find each figure reference in a long report to verify that the proper graphic appears. When you use the Find command, Word highlights the word or phrases that it finds in the document using the Navigation pane, which you can click to display them. You can use the Advanced Find to set more options in the Find and Replace dialog box. For example, you can use the More button to select find options, such as Match case, Format, or Special, or use the Reading Highlight button to specify whether to highlight the current find or all the items found in the document.
