Martha Debayle was a TV and radio personality, and a divorced mother of two young children. She realized that Mexican women like herself needed advice and resources pertaining to rearing children and taking care of the various aspects of family life. She launched an Internet portal and, later, a magazine, hired a small staff, including her sister, to run the business, and put together a roster of seventy doctors, psychologists, therapists, educators, nutritionists, and other professionals to generate content and field users’ questions.
