Cellular CDMA

We discussed the CDMA concept in Chapter 2, Section 2.4.1. One of the two major technologies for second-generation cellular systems is based on CDMA. Third-generation (3G) cellular access systems that provide high speed data and multimedia access are also based on CDMA. In this chapter we will study various resource allocation problems in cellular CDMA systems, basing our discussion mainly on SINR (signal-to-interference plus noise ratio) analysis.
