What to Expect

We’ve divided this book into five parts, each of which describes a major part of the process of building and using a wireless network. These sections describe

Each section is described in greater detail in the following sections.

Part I starts by explaining the basics in Chapter 1, “How Wireless LANs Work.” We think it’s worth mentioning that a basic working knowledge of wireless networking should be of interest to you if you are about to set up your own wireless network, and at a minimum it will help you make some better-informed decisions.
