Summary

This chapter was all about thinking through how and where you want to use your wireless computers so that you don’t wind up buying things you don’t need. Many of the calls we get from friends and family when they have trouble with their wireless network setup stem from their use of the everpopular “ready-fire-aim” tactic of running out and buying gear and then trying to hook it all together without starting with a plan. By taking the few extra steps described in this chapter, you should be well on your way to getting your network up and running now and you should have an easier time expanding or upgrading your network later.
