Setting Up a SideShow Device

Windows SideShow is a new technology that lets you see information from your computer on a SideShow-enabled external device even when the computer is sleeping. This is achieved by using certain gadgets that work with your computer’s power-management system. Gadgets are specialized small programs, each of which is designed to provide a single type of information—new e-mail messages, for example, or appointments, news headlines, or pictures.

Set Up SideShow

  1. Set up the device according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Install any gadgets you want to use that came with the device.
