Connecting to a Network over the Internet
To connect to a company network over the Internet, you can use a VPN (Virtual Private Network), which provides a secure connection between your computer and the network. The computer you connect to must be configured as a VPN server and must be connected to the Internet. Before you connect, verify that you have the correct name of the host computer and the correct user name and password that have been assigned to you.
Create the VPN Connection
Click the Start button, and choose Connect To from the menu to start the Connect To A Network Wizard. If you don’t see the VPN network you want, click Set Up A Connection ...
