A MEDIA EXTENDER is a device that streams media across your network. With a media extender such as an Xbox 360 and a PC with the Windows Vista operating system, you can watch media stored on your PC anywhere in your home by incorporating your wired or wireless network connection. Media can include videos, music, and pictures, among other things. All it takes is the proper hardware, a solid network, and a bit of configuration.
