Share Printers

Next in line under Sharing And Discovery is Printer Sharing. You’ll turn on printer sharing the same way you turned on other sharing options. Click the arrow to the right of Printer Sharing, and select Turn On Printer Sharing.

You can access shared printers on Windows Vista from Control Panel’s Printer option. In the Printers window, you’ll see all the printers you have access to on the network, as well as shared printers. Shared printers have an icon by them that looks like two people standing together, as shown in Figure 6-4.

To see the default sharing properties, right-click any shared printer, and click Properties. Click Change Sharing Options, and you’ll see the dialog box shown in Figure 6-5. You’ll learn more about printer ...
