Get Help for Networking Older PCs

If you need to connect an older PC, such as one running Windows 2000 or Windows ME, you can follow the directions noted in this chapter. Although the tabs or windows might be a bit different, for the most part the process is the same. Connecting a Windows 98–based PC requires quite a bit more doing, and although I do not have space here to work through all the steps, the support pages at www.microsoft.com offer a lot of information. To locate the information you need, go to http://support.microsoft.com, and in the search box, type 814235. This is the first part of a multipart article for working with Windows 98 in a workgroup setting.
