Add a Second Windows Vista–Based PC

If the second PC is running Windows Vista and you’re connected via USB, Ethernet, or infrared, you will be automatically prompted to set up the network. In the window that appears regarding what type of network you want to connect to, click Home, and then click Continue. Close the window.

If for some reason you are not prompted, first make sure you’re using the proper cable connection. If you’re using Ethernet, remember that the cable needs to be a patch cable, not a regular Ethernet cable. If you’re sure the cable is the correct one but you still aren’t prompted, then restart the computer.
