Use Xbox Live
Xbox Live is the online game service for Xbox gamers. There are two services: a basic, nonsubscription service called Silver and a subscription-based service called Gold.
Xbox Live Silver is free. You can create user profiles, join message boards, access Xbox Live Arcade and Marketplace, and talk to other members. Most of the games that can be played on Xbox Silver are not multiplayer games. Xbox Live Gold has everything Silver does, plus enhanced gaming capabilities. The Gold subscription costs about $50 US annually.
