Controlling the Appearance of Web Parts
A user can modify the appearance of Web Parts by modifying their Web Part properties. All SharePoint Web Parts share a common set of properties that enable a user to set appearance, layout, and other advanced properties. If you have the appropriate permissions, you can modify the appearance of a Web Part from the browser by performing the following actions:
On the Site Actions menu, click Edit Page.
Click the Edit menu of the Web Part for which you want to change the properties, and do one of the following:
If you are in a shared view, click Modify Shared Web Part.
If you are in a personal view, click Modify My Web Part.
