Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 provides a wealth of functionality for working with lists and libraries. The improvements in WSS 3.0 greatly assist organizations in getting greater user buy-in. Many of the complaints SharePoint consultants such as myself receive regarding functionality limitations in the previous version have been addresses and resolved.
With the superior technology that this Web-based platform can offer organizations in a secure and governed environment, the standard file share will soon be a thing of the past.
