Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 has greatly enhanced the capabilities of the out-of-the-box lists. The following sections will briefly touch on a few of the advanced features in lists and libraries that are contained within Windows SharePoint Services 3.0.
Incoming E-Mail Settings
Lists and libraries in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 can now receive and store e-mail messages and attachments. This feature can assist team members within the organization in archiving their e-mail or uploading the contents of a specific e-mail to a SharePoint list or library. E-mail that is sent to a SharePoint group can be archived so that entire teams can review a specific discussion without retrieving the messages from their mailboxes. ...
