Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Central Administration

When you install Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 on a computer, the setup program creates the SharePoint 3.0 Central Administration site that manages SharePoint settings for all of the virtual servers and site collections on the same server. This section introduces the functions available on this administrative server.

SharePoint Services 3.0 Central Administration controls every aspect of the Windows SharePoint Services server and can also affect other related servers and their SharePoint functionality. The Central Administration page shown in Figure 1-25 is the home page for SharePoint Services 3.0 Central Administration.
