About the Instructor
Andrew Warren has more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry, many of which he has spent teaching and writing. He is a Microsoft Certified Trainer and has been involved as a subject matter expert in many of the Windows Server 2016 courses and as the technical lead in many Windows 10 courses. He also has been involved in developing TechNet sessions about Microsoft Exchange Server. He is the author of Exam Ref 70-741 Networking with Windows Server 2016 and Exam Ref 70-742 Identity with Windows Server 2016, published by Microsoft Press. Andrew is based in the United Kingdom and lives in rural Somerset, where he runs his own IT training and education consultancy.

Lesson 1: Implementing IPv4 and IPv6 Addressing
This lesson discusses IP fundamentals specifically implementing IPv4 and IPv6 addressing. It covers exam objectives "Implement IPv4 and IPv6 addressing" and "Implement Network Connectivity Solutions."
Lesson 2: Installing and Configuring DHCP
This lesson covers exam objective "Install and configure DHCP." In this lesson, you learn how to implement DHCP; install and authorize DHCP; create and manage DHCP scopes; configure DHCP options; configure DHCP relay agent and PXE boot; and export, import, and migrate a DHCP server.
Lesson 3: Managing and Maintaining DHCP
This lesson covers exam objective "Manage and maintain DHCP." In this lesson, you learn how to implement DHCP high availability, enable DHCP failover, back up and restore the DHCP database, and troubleshoot DHCP.
Lesson 4: Installing and Configuring DNS Servers
This lesson deals with name resolution and covers exam objective "Install and configure DNS servers." In this lesson, you learn how to implement name resolution, configure DNS resolution between zones, implement advanced DNS settings, and enable DNS policies.
Lesson 5: Creating and Configuring DNS Zones and Records

Lesson 6: Implementing Remote Connectivity

Lesson 7: Installing and Configuring IP Address Management
Lesson 7 covers exam objective "Implement IPAM." In this lesson, you learn how to examine the IPAM architecture, deploy an IPAM server, provision the IPAM server, configure server discovery, create and manage IP blocks and ranges, and monitor utilization of IP address space.
Lesson 8: Managing DNS and DHCP Using IPAM
This lesson provides content that addresses exam objectives "Manage DNS and DHCP using IPAM" and "Audit IPAM." In this lesson, you learn how to manage DHCP with IPAM, manage DNS with IPAM, delegate administration for DNS and DHCP using RBAC, and audit with IPAM.

Lesson 9 discusses branch office solutions, including the Distributed File System and BranchCache. It covers exam objective "Implement DFS and Branch Office solutions." In this lesson, you learn how to implement DFS, install and configure a DFS namespace, configure DFS replication, optimize DFS, and implement BranchCache.
Lesson 10: Implementing Advanced Network Solutions
This lesson covers exam objectives "Implement High Performance Network Solutions" and "Determine scenarios and requirements for implementing Software Defined Networking." In this lesson, you learn how to describe the advanced network options in Windows Server 2016; implement NIC teaming or the SET solution; configure RSS, VMMQ, DCB, SMB Direct, and SR-IOV; implement Software Defined Networking; describe the requirements and scenarios for implementing HNV; deploy Network Controller; and implement Network Controller.
