Guest Clustering

Guest clustering, while maybe not a well-known industry term, is the process of implementing Windows Failover Cluster across a series of virtual machines, which may or may not be hosted on a physical Windows Server 2012 Hyper-V cluster.

Guest clustering isn’t exactly a new concept either. In fact, you could implement guest clustering in Windows Server 2008. However, prior to Windows Server 2012, the only supported storage solution for guest clustering was iSCSI.
