Active Directory Integration

Active Directory integration is key to the success of running and operating a reliable cluster. Nodes within a cluster are required to be members of the same Active Directory domain. It is recommended that the cluster CNO and cluster node machine names be placed in their own Organizational Units (OUs) within Active Directory. The main reason for utilizing a dedicated OU is to ensure that Group Policies and any operating system hardening via security templates don’t have an undesirable effect on the reliability of the cluster.
