Adding an Additional Namespace Server to a Domain-Based Namespace

After a domain namespace has been successfully created, it is a best practice to add an additional server to host the namespace. To add an additional server to an existing domain-based namespace, follow these steps:

1. On the same server used to create the original namespace, open the DFS Management console as previously outlined.

2. Pre-create the share and configure the desired share and NTFS permissions on the additional server and that will also host the DFS namespace root.
