Creating Application Control Policies (AppLocker)

Application control policies implement software restriction on computers and user profiles to prevent users from running undesired programs that might impact system configuration and reliability. Application control policies are supported on Windows 7 Enterprise and Ultimate editions, Windows 8 Pro, and on all editions of Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012. Application control policies or AppLocker, when enabled, will not allow users to run any executables except those defined as allowed.
